Liberty Property

Lithium Exploration

Comet’s Primary Lithium property

Liberty Property is Comet’s main lithium property in the Eeyou Istchee James Bay region of Québec, strategically located contiguous to the Adina lithium deposit, one of the largest and highest-grade hard rock lithium resources in North America.

Adina has emerged as a tier-one lithium project, with ongoing consolidation efforts by Li-FT Power and Winsome Resources aimed at unlocking district-scale value through the integration of adjacent properties, including Galinée, which is interpreted to host a continuation of Adina’s mineralized pegmatite system. This consolidation underscores the broader potential of the region as a rapidly developing lithium camp and highlights the strategic importance of contiguous land positions such as Liberty.

The Liberty Property covers prospective ground along the same geological trend as Adina and lies within the highly fertile Trieste Lithium Greenstone Belt. Early-stage exploration has already identified multiple priority targets, including zones located directly along strike from known mineralization at Adina, as well as additional prospective areas defined by anomalous geochemistry and pegmatite occurrences.

Initial field programs have confirmed the presence of geochemical signatures indicative of evolved lithium-cesium-tantalum (LCT) pegmatites, including low potassium-to-rubidium ratios and favorable mineral assemblages-key vectors toward potentially mineralized systems. These results support the interpretation that Liberty may host extensions or parallel structures related to the broader Adina pegmatite swarm.

With increasing consolidation and investment in the Adina-Galinée district, Liberty is uniquely positioned to benefit from proximity to a rapidly advancing, district-scale lithium development. The project represents a compelling exploration opportunity with the potential to deliver new discoveries within one of Québec’s most active and prospective lithium corridors.

Exciting discoveries reveal strong potential for lithium-caesium-tantalum (LCT) bearing pegmatites at the Liberty Property.

2024 Exploration Highlights

  • Fieldwork Completed: Two weeks of exploration at the Liberty Property, Québec.
  • Comprehensive Sampling: 127 rock samples collected for laboratory assays.
  • Promising Zones Identified:
      • One along the Adina East strike.
      • Another in the southeast, with new outcrops and boulders observed.
  • Key Findings:
      • Seven samples with K/Rb ratio values below 55, five below 7.5, indicating high potential for LCT pegmatites.

CEO Statement

Vincent Metcalfe, President & CEO, remarked:
“Our 2024 exploration program has reinforced our confidence in Liberty Property’s potential. Discovering the Stardust Dyke and highly anomalous boulders in the southeast corner highlights the property’s significance within the Trieste Lithium greenstone belt. As we proceed, we anticipate further insights from the Adina and Galinee programs to deepen our understanding of the region’s mineralization.”

2024 Fieldwork Summary

Focus was on the southernmost portion of the Liberty Property, leveraging helicopter reconnaissance and ground traverses.

Achievements:

  • Coverage: 214 km across priority traverses.
  • Sampling: 33 outcrops, 94 boulders, and 77 observation points.
  • Key Findings:
      • North-south striking Stardust Dyke, observed over 3m.
      • Seven angular boulders with tourmaline, muscovite, and apatite—primarily in the southeast corner.

Key Discoveries
Southeast Corner Insights

  • Highly Differentiated Pegmatite Blocks:
      • Samples with K/Rb ratios between 3.6–7.2.
      • Elevated lithium content: up to 0.22% Li₂O.
      • High rubidium values, e.g., 8,000 ppm Rb.
      • Proximity to Stardust Dyke suggests nearby sources.

Stardust Dyke Characteristics

  • Mineralogy:
      • White pegmatite with muscovite (5-10%) and tourmaline (1-5%).
      • Assay results: 5,659 ppm Rb, 919 ppm Cs, 274 ppm Ta, and 0.07% Li₂O.
  • Observation Challenges: Thick overburden limited manual excavation.

Adina East Drill Results

Comet’s findings align with promising results from Winsome Resources Inc. (August 2024):

  • High-Grade Intercepts:
      • 16.0m at 2.15% Li₂O (Hole AD-24-211).
      • 15.3m at 1.35% Li₂O (Hole AD-24-227).
  • Encouragement for Further Drilling: The mineralization remains open to the east, with encouraging thickness and grades.

Galinee Drill Results

Rio Tinto / Midland Program is ongoing to the East of Liberty

  • 1.38% Li2O over 37.86 metres, including 1.88% Li2O over 21.35 metres(TLIB0007)
  • 1.49% Li2O over 26.50 metres, including 1.85% Li2O over 19.20 metres(TLIB0002)
  • 1.94% Li2O over 20.97 metresand 2.47% Li2O over 11.52 metres(TLIB0006)
  • 1.09% Li2O over 33.30 metres, including 1.87% Li2O over 16.70 metres(TLIB0004)

Next Steps

Comet plans to:

  1. Expand exploration in prospective zones along Adina East and southeast Liberty Property.
  2. Collaborate with partners to trace mineralization continuity.
